El Zarpe Mexican restaurant was first opened in Tahlequah, Oklahoma around 17 years ago. They used their own family recipes as the main menu items and soon became a huge success. Located near North State University, it became very popular specifically among the students. It was the perfect restaurant to relax with friends after exams or get a quick bite to eat before a long homework session. For many attending the North State University, El Zarpe became an integral part of their university years and just as important as taking notes in class. El Zarape was a place to find a warm homemade meal when they were very far from home. NSU students loved and still love El Zarpe. In return El Zarpe is a big fan of NSU community as well. Their best reviews come from graduates who return years later and to still find joy in their delicious dishes.
